The Story Behind The Rockies

Innovation and inspiration are ingrained within Pentagon Play's DNA. Over the past year, our team have been working hard to produce a piece of play equipment that will revolutionise the way children develop key balancing and movement skills.

  • The Rockies features a suspended 'wobble board' to assist in the development of a child's vestibular system
  • Detach the Rocker Block from the base and watch as your pupils improve their core strength by simply rocking on the block
  • Attatch the removable handrails to the equipment to support walking development for your little ones
  • Slot the Climbing Block seamlessly into the Rockies to create more entry and exit points, adding further challenges for your little explorers to overcome

After speaking the numerous nurseries across the UK, we discovered the need for play equipment that assisted with the development of core strength and other key physical skills

With this information, our amazing product designers worked tirelessly to create the perfect product that made physical development fun and engaging

Having a finalised design, our team took the prototype to be tested by the experts: the kids! After a few tweaks, the product was ready for launch

I wanted to create a product that promoted independent play for all abilities of children, developing a variety of key physical skills and creating confident movers with good co-ordination. After testing the product with different children, I think we achieved this goal with The Rockies!
