As part of the school council, I had the responsibility of asking other pupils what they would like on our playground. I am really happy that they choose the outdoor gym and trim trail. It makes us feel proud and happy because I can exercise as well as have fun. I also really enjoy playing games with my friends on the trim trail
Pupil - Westminster Primary Academy and Children’s Centre, Blackpool
The main objectives we wanted to achieve with the playground development was to create a space where children can play safely, could be active and could have a variety of experiences that they don't get outside of school. The development of a trim trail and exercise equipment ensured that all of these objectives were met, it has also ensured that children have a healthy and active lifestyle. It is a joy to watch how excited the children become when they are playing on the equipment. This area has also enabled the children to develop their social skills in terms of their ability to take turns, support each other, encourage and motivate each other to take risks and be more active. Working with Pentagon Play has been fantastic; they were nothing but professional and helpful. They were able to advise us on the best use of the land we have and the completed project is absolutely amazing!

The trim trail is my best bit of school, I try and trick my teachers by going on with the Dragons and Monkeys class too.
William - Rugby Free School Pupil, Rugby
The children are really enjoying the new trim trail in our playground, it not only offers a new dynamic to their play but allows for the children to use other parts of the playground in different ways now, too, as it has spread out how children use and share out the space.
