Learning Never Stops: 10 Outdoor Lesson Ideas and Activities For Parents and Carers

With the ongoing situation surrounding Covid-19 and schools and nurseries having to close, we are well aware of some of the pressures that teachers and nursery practitioners are under to help facilitate home-learning during the closure period.

Amongst the chaos and panic caused by the pandemic teachers and nursery practitioners have been the shining light as they carry on as normal, ensuring their classes and groups are provided with an excellent education.

They have been preparing for all possible outcomes should educational facilities close, stay open or if children have to be sent home or kept off due to self-isolation. They have been preparing their parents and careers with home learning packs and online resources to ensure an excellent standard of learning carries on at home.

Since outdoor play and learning has so many advantages for children, benefiting their health and development, we wanted to ensure that parents and careers had a little bit of added inspiration while planning their children’s educational activities and enabling children to learn and have some fun while at home.

Alongside their education, it’s important to try and make enough space for children to get a little exercise as well as some natural daylight to boost their Vitamin D levels and their morale each and every day.
