We now have learning opportunities that were not there before such as: Investigative Learning, Physical Play and Creative Play. Health and safety is paramount within the school and Andy understood this very well. The level of communication with the guys on site was great and very much appreciated on our part. They would let us know exactly what was going on which helped our teaching staff plan activities and lessons. Nothing would have been differently - if anything, I may have started our leveling of our other playground sooner.

The children are keen and excited to go outside, they play imaginatively in the mud kitchen area, they love climbing, jumping and creating obstacle courses with the large blocks - and it’s super to see them developing their balance and core strength and exploring different ways to move and jump, which all helps with developing their gross motor skills for things like writing. They also have to challenge themselves to both analyse and to take risks. They love the climbing wall and again this builds muscle strength and is important for developing their fine and gross motor ability. The artificial grass has completely changed the appearance of the area and it means the outdoor area looks more tidy and with more appealing. It makes the whole area an outdoor space that reflects our approach to outdoor learning at BCS - it is welcoming yet still natural. The different areas are clearly defined encouraging independence and they support learning across the Early Years curriculum

We are so pleased with our new outdoor learning space. All of the work was completed to a very high standard and it was noticed what care and pride your installers had when working, in what were at times very challenging weather conditions! The children really like performing on their new stage, they use it most playtimes and particularly enjoy the fact it has a roof aspect. Some days, they participate in imaginary play and others they enjoy sitting and talking. As staff, we use it for presentations and worship opportunities. Overall, it really compliments the play equipment next to it and is a much nicer and welcoming area. The children make very good use of their new play space!
