I was always obsessed with making paper aeroplanes and trying to tweak the designs to make
them go faster, further or higher, so I fancied being some kind of an aerospace design engineer. I
also saw myself as a bit of a Bear Grylls as I loved building dens and playing in the local woods in
Bradley Stoke. Although I’ve not fully gone off the survivalist idea, I became less enthusiastic about
it when my Grandad bought me Christmas selection box of mealworms and crickets.
My favourite times were PE and break times, any time when I was playing sports or manhunt beat
ups although I also liked woodwork and metalwork.
Nowadays the gym takes up a fair bit of my time. I have struggled with my body image in the past
and working out at the gym has transformed the way I look and feel. I also enjoy playing football
(and watching Bristol City) and hanging out with friends.
This isn’t exactly a fun fact but maybe a nerdy one. I started doing origami as a child and have
made some intricate, complicated things over the years. I still turn to it sometimes now if I’m
particularly stressed as it helps to ground me as I have to focus completely on the task at hand
leaving no headspace for worrying.
