I lived in Manchester for the first 9 years of my life before moving to Poynton in Cheshire.
I kept changing my mind about what I wanted to do when I grew up! I’ve always loved music and learnt to play the piano and violin from a young age.
My parents are both classical musicians so for a while I imagined I might have followed in their footsteps. I also really like writing music and filmmaking and I often imagined myself writing music for films. I was also interested in computing and computer games and loved the idea of making computer games myself so for a while I thought I’d probably end up working in the computer games industry!
My favourite subjects at school were music, computing, maths and physics. I’ve always enjoyed technical subjects – I love working out how and why things work! I also have a very creative side as well and I really enjoyed music, especially writing compositions for orchestras.
It’s an amazing privilege to have worked with Pentagon for several years! It’s been a great journey – I’ve worked on building computer software to systemise all sorts of different areas of Pentagon’s operation, and I’ve loved learning all about how the different parts of the company work. Pentagon has such a great team, and everybody is so enthusiastic and fun to work with! My favourite thing about my job is working with a great team on such interesting, challenging and varied projects.
These days I spend most of my spare time with my wife and my 1-year-old daughter! We have two very energetic springer spaniels, and I can often be found walking them up in the Peak District.
Whenever I get the opportunity, I love to travel abroad. Some of my favourite holidays were my trips to China, Nepal, Australia, Egypt and Russia. I’ve also travelled extensively in Europe and in my early 20s I decided to visit every European country– so far I’ve visited 34, so still have a few to go!
