I am thrilled to be starting 2020 by joining the wonderful Pentagon Team as an Educational Copywriter.
Since leaving school, I have gained invaluable experiences in teaching and administration within the education sector. From a young age I have loved dancing and had many wonderful memories of performing on stages across the UK - a highlight was performing in the 2002 opening ceremony at the Commonwealth Games dressed as a feather duster! I am proud to be a qualified Ballet Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and extremely lucky to have experienced 18 years of teaching dance and choreographing routines for students to perform at amazing places such as Disneyland, Paris.
My dance career has been invaluable in regards to understanding the importance of physical fitness and the incredible benefits it brings. From this, I gained a qualification as a British Gymnastics Coach for primary schools and qualified as a Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant, the weekly visits to the woods or any activity outside, were always my favourite, regardless of the weather. Taking the classroom outdoors was the most enjoyable and rewarding part of my role. The combination of fresh air and learning creates so many wonderful moments and really gives children a sense of achievement, no matter how big or small.
I am blessed to be “Mummy” to Oliver who is a bundle of energy and an endless adventure. We are always happiest when we are exploring woodlands and streams or dancing round the kitchen!
When I’m not working or studying for my degree in Education and Special Educational Needs, I love spending quality time with my wonderful husband, seeing family and friends, enjoying scenic walks and planning holidays!
