Enhance your classroom with our brand-new Early Years Book Storage Range

We are thrilled to launch the first products in our brand-new Book Storage Range; The Bookcase on Wheels and the Angled Storage on Wheels.

These new products have taken inspiration from feedback Primary School teachers gave about what they require in their classrooms. 47% of teachers told us that they were unhappy with their current classroom layout (something which we want to help solve!) and additional book storage was high on a teachers’ priority list to solve.

We know that Reading Corners and Book Corners are a popular area within a classroom and that over half of teachers regularly move items around the classroom to create these zones. With storage and reading areas such a necessity within a classroom, our talented design team have created products that fulfil teachers reading and storage requirements.

Bookcase on Wheels

The Bookcase on Wheels is the ideal solution to solve classroom storage woes and help create flexible reading zones across the space. The bookcase has been designed to be low-level, enabling pupils of all ages to self-select and give them a level of control over their reading material – in turn increasing engagement. Angled Storage on Wheels

This product allows you to store a variety of different learning resources at an easily accessible height for children to self-select. The handy unit is on wheels with lockable castors, giving teachers the option to move it around to create new zones, as and when required. View the full product details.

The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale

The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERs) is a widely used assessment tool that measures provisions that affect the developmental needs of young children. It supports teachers in evaluating the quality of practice and provision, focusing on the physical environment. The scale is an important indicator and is used to drive positive change by highlighting areas for development.

To assist teachers in improving their space, the ECERs scale has been incorporated when designing the range, to ensure your classroom can score highly and provide a more effective space to children and teachers.

We are proud to say that we improved the ECERs score on classrooms that have invested in Pentagon products and feedback from teachers and children has been extremely positive.
