Sensory Circuit Alerting Frame

Sensory Circuits are a nationally recognised activity that has been adopted by many settings, including those catering towards children with SEN, as they can help prepare children for learning. We have designed our very own range of exciting outdoor sensory circuits, which encourage these beneficial activities to take place in the playground; where many children feel more relaxed, enriched, less inhabited and more focused. These excellent frames are inclusive but can truly benefit those who struggle with focus and listening, which impact on learning in the classroom. Those who may use wheelchairs or other aids can position themselves underneath the frame and use the equipment alongside others, too. The Sensory Circuit Alerting Frame provides children with space where physical stimulation is provided through heavy work activities, helping to regulate energy levels and prepare children for learning within a controlled setting. The selection of equipment included in the frame promotes self-regulation and exploration while children hang, balance and traverse on the variety of equipment outdoors. In addition to the Alerting Frame, children should also complete the organising and calming section of the circuit to ensure they are fully focused and more susceptible to learning in the classroom
