Enquire NowSensory Circuits are a nationally recognised activity that has been adopted by many settings, including those catering towards children with SEN, as they can help prepare children for learning. We have designed our very own range of sensory circuits, which encourage these very beneficial activities to take place in the playground. Many children feel more relaxed, enriched, less inhibited and more focused in the great outdoors. This excellent frame is fully inclusive, benefiting those who may struggle with focus and listening, which impact learning in the classroom. Those who may use wheelchairs or other aids can position themselves under the frame and use the equipment alongside others. The Heavy Work Swing provides children with a space where physical stimulation is provided through heavy work activities, using their body weight to pull themselves up and propelling themselves forward and backwards whilst hanging from the frame: a very effective heavy work activity as it activates many muscles and joints at the same time, and for a short period of time. This repetitive heavy work activity helps children regulate their energy levels, prepare themselves for learning and can even help children with sensory processing issues feel centred, all whilst improving proprioception, or body awareness.
