Abernethy Forest Trim Trail

The biggest of our forest trim trails, this 16-piece adventure is a real challenge for your pupils, giving them plenty of space for physical development and fun! Moving along the Incline Beam Crossing, pupils can then head over to the Platform-to-Platform Tightrope Crossing, where their balance will be crucial. Do they have what it takes to make it to the ZigZag Bridge Crossing? Heading across the Wobbly Log Traverse, pupils will have to navigate their way along as the log sways beneath them, using their upper arm strength to hold themselves up carefully using the ropes. Upper arm strength will also be required on the Drop Rope Tightrope Crossing as pupils use the drop ropes to support themselves as they cross! The Swinging Log Crossing, Step Rope Traverse and Log Balance will all put pupils’ spatial awareness and coordination to the test as they make sure each step is carefully timed and planned. The Horizontal Climbing Wall will also be popular with pupils as they carefully select their foot and hand holds wisely to ensure they make it over to the Walk and Stretch Steps to finish off the trail!
