Improve balance, lower body strength, coordination and concentration stepping up and down, on and off, over and across this set of 5 timber Stepping Logs.

Each one is set at a different height to encourage children to move at different levels, strengthening their leg muscles and building their physical confidence as they go.

The Stepping Logs will support a range of academic learning objectives through play. For EYFS pupils, activities involving number recognition and sequencing, or developing vocabulary with directional terms such as forwards and backwards, are much more memorable when they are enjoyed outdoors!

Try labelling each Stepping Log with a series of sticky notes marked with numbers or letters. Ask children to step around the logs and stop when they find a particular one.

They’ll be having far too much fun to notice how much they are learning, and how much their balance and their ability to concentrate is improving too!
