Bug Hotel

A home for mini-beasts! Comprising sixteen removable polycarbonate tubes for homing an array of different invertebrates. Children can be allocated their own 'Bug Pod' before being sent on a mission to fill their pod with different medium of bark, twigs, rocks, stones, hollow canes and grass; some dry and some damp to create the perfect home for creepy crawlies. Providing the naturally occurring nooks and crannies for mini-beasts to shelter from predators and weather, our Bug Hotel offers five star accommodation and the perfect opportunity for education on habitats and identifying invertebrates, not to mention making bugs fun. After creating the perfect 'Bug Pod', children will place their pods back into the hotel and then wait with excitement as bugs and insects begin to check-in to the hotel. Each day, children can remove their 'Bug Pod' and place it on the investigation shelf for group discussions and examinations. Our Bug Hotel also includes a clip chart shelf in case children need to write down notes and findings. Grow plants and flowers on the roof's planting area to create a pollinator friendly environment for bees and other insects. Children can plant their own seeds and monitor the plant life cycle closely. Our unique Bug Hotel also includes a wonderful bird feeding table to attract different species of birds for examination.
