Scattered across the North West, the Rosebank Nurseries group is well-known for providing outstanding childcare and early years education for hundreds of families. Led by experienced operator Mandy Herrington, the group has received plenty of praise from parents across the area.
Having 4 nurseries in operation, the Rosebank Nursery group is always looking for ways to improve their services and establish themselves as one of the strongest nursery groups in the country. Throughout this journey, Mandy and her team have built a fantastic reputation amongst parents in the North West for the facilities and care offered at these nurseries.
Looking for further improvements, Mandy noticed that she was lacking in engaging play area equipment and wanted to introduce something new for the children to explore and play with. After consulting with her staff, she decided that not only did Rosebank Nursery require exciting equipment, but so did Nature Garden Nursery and Forest School.
Meeting The Customer
As Mandy was scrolling through Facebook, she came across one of our adverts which mentioned our Nursery Partnership programme and the discounts we offer to our partners. In addition, Mandy saw that we offered a fantastic range of freestanding playground equipment, which piqued her interest more.
Grasping this opportunity with both hands, Mandy headed to the Pentagon website and enquired more about the partnership programme. Maddy McGuire, a member of the Digital Sales team, quickly got back in contact with Mandy and spoke to her on the phone.

As the Rosebank Nurseries group was operating on a larger scale, Mandy saw the benefit of partnering with Pentagon as she would need new playground equipment and pieces of nursery furniture for all the settings. In addition, the opportunity to gain access to our experience of 25 years of operating within the education industry was too good to pass, as she felt getting expert guidance on what to focus on would only benefit the group more.
The Online Shop Approach
Working in over 15,000 unique locations, Pentagon Play has always strived to make the customer journey as simple as possible. A natural progression for us was to open the Online Shop, allowing users to easily order their desired equipment without having to ring a single person.
As time has moved onwards, the Online Shop has become the one-stop-shop for hundreds of schools and nurseries across the UK. The Digital Sales team love working closely with nurseries in particular, as nurseries have different requirements as to what they need for outdoor play equipment.
Mandy gave Pentagon Play valuable insight into the nursery industry and what products would work well. Combining these valuable tips with our expert recommendations, Mandy decided to purchase one of the most popular pieces of play equipment in our catalogue and made a custom order.
Due to Mandy being a nursery partner, her order was prioritised by our expert Manufacturing team and was soon ready to be delivered. Maddy spoke to Mandy to arrange a suitable delivery date and offered the white glove service, meaning our team would not only unload the new equipment, but would even place the equipment and remove excess packaging. It's safe to say that Mandy was incredibly impressed by the service and delivery times!
The Sports Premium Adventurer Package
Exclusive to the Online Shop, the Sports Premium Adventurer Package provides fantastic value to schools and nurseries who are working with a tight budget. Combining two of our best selling products ( the Get Set, Go! Blocks - The Pennine Set & the Play Builder - Apprentice Set), this brilliant package provides an endless amount of fun and challenges.
As the package contains two sets, nurseries can decide whether to separate the sets and cover more of their play space, or combine both sets to create a one-of-a-kind obstacle course. Mandy loved the versatility and manoeuvrability of the package and decided to separate the two sets across two of her settings in Lymm.
Both of the products contained within this package only use the most durable and high-quality materials offered in the industry. Using Accoya wood to construct parts of the Play Builder sets and Stokbord to enhance the durability of the Get Set, Go! Blocks, the Sports Premium Adventurer package is built to withstand heavy usage and poor weather conditions.
Bespoke Order
During a phone call with Maddy, Mandy explained how difficult it was to find a tunnel structure that her children (aged 0-2 years old) could use during their playtime. Mandy pointed out that one of the blocks contained in our Up and Under set (the tunnel section) suited her criteria and she stated how she wished it was sold separately.
Hearing this, Maddy explained how she would be able to create a bespoke order for the single piece of play equipment due to Rosebank Nurseries group being a Pentagon Nursery Partner. Mandy was over the moon to hear this as her long search for the perfect piece of play equipment had come to an end.
Constructed from 'Play Grade' high-pressure treated timber and laminated outdoor plywood side panels, the tunnel piece from our Up and Under set is built to be durable and long-lasting. With an artificial grass top, children are naturally drawn to this wonderful piece of freestanding playground equipment.
Our Partnership With Millhouse
After the successful delivery of the playground equipment, Pentagon Play joined forces with Millhouse to expand our offerings to indoor nursery furniture. Millhouse is well recognised for supplying educational furniture to schools and nurseries across the UK.
Listing over 125 new pieces of Millhouse furniture on our website, our Digital Sales team thought about how beautiful these pieces of furniture would look in a nursery like Rosebank. Quickly, the team called Mandy and asked how she would feel about having a photoshoot organised at the nursery.
Mandy was more than delighted to accommodate a photoshoot at her wonderful nursery and as a gesture of good will, we offered to donate the products that we used in the photoshoot to Mandy afterwards. Ecstatic with this news, Mandy was incredibly thankful for the opportunity and was proud to be a nursery partner.
On the day of delivery, our team set out to the nursery and provided the white glove delivery service. Unpacking, assembling and placing the equipment, the nursery could focus on providing a fantastic level of care whilst our team focused on the heavy lifting. Once finished, our team made sure to collect all the bits of rubbish and recycle them, taking the task off the staff.

At Rosebank Nursery, the children instantly felt comfortable as they started exploring and engaging with the zone. As the children started to paint and draw on the Art Easel, the kids told us about how they wanted to draw the Gruffalo - a story that they just read at Nursery.
Throughout their creative session, the children were using the Welsh Dresser, the Continuous Provision Trolley and the Open Storage Unit to retrieve new materials to use on their masterpieces. Once finished, they took their pieces of art to the Drying Rack and waited to see the final results. When the art had dried, the children were excited to show their parents the amazing work they had created.
The Results
It's safe to say that the children of Rosebank Nursery and Nature Garden Nursery and Forest School loved the Millhouse Expressive Arts & Design Zone. Speaking to the operations manager at Rosebank Nurseries group, she told us how seamlessly the furniture integrated with their current set up and was impressed by the manoeuvrability offered by the furniture.
Throughout the whole experience, Mandy's staff were an absolute joy to work with, being extremely accommodating and kind towards our staff. Our delivery team had only the best to say when it came to how the nursery was.
